Kelli Kinney has worked with my horses and with me for the past 20 years. She has an incredibly positive attitude and is well able to articulate abstract riding concepts in a way I can understand. When I leave one of Kelli's lessons, I feel uplifted and am imbued with a wonderful sense 'can do.' She always speaks positively about the horses in her care. Kelli is fearless, yet measured and thoughtful when approaching problem horse behaviors. She is remarkably insightful, and has always been able to help me better understand my horse(s). The combination of the Michael Poulin dressage training and the Kenny Harlow Training with Trust horsemanship has given her an unsurpassed skill set and knowledge base. My success in the dressage arena has Kelli's name on it. Her most recent project for me was to take a rank, opinionated, bucking Holsteiner and work with him so that he could be ridden. After a winter with Kelli, he has become a much nicer horse for me to handle, trailer and show in harness and I am also able to ride him. The work Kelli did in-hand and under saddle with this horse definitely translated to harness and this Holsteiner and I have just completed our most successful show season ever. Even though I have had several years of outstanding and much appreciated support from trainers who specialize in driving, this season's success belongs to Kelli. After another winter in the Kelli Kinney barn, I hope to take this one-time bronco down the center line at some early dressage shows. I am the horsewoman I am, at least in part, because of her expertise, support and friendship. I have always been incredibly grateful that she always answers the phone when I call.

Thought I would drop you a note to say THANK YOU! The horses came home ready to go, fit, well winded and with an "I Love to Work" attitude. Now I'm waiting for you to start a program for the unfit owners, they are more complicated than the horses. All kidding aside both my horses just keep getting better.
As they start now in their 20's it really is important to me that they stay fit! No matter what the reason I have sent them up to you, training, starting the season, enjoying the winter at your farm (love that indoor) or time in with you while I'm travelling they have ALWAYS been at their best when you are done. I too love my training/lesson time with you although it's not ever long enough. I think it really is your attitude and easy going manner that brings out not only the best in my horses but me too!
I always am relaxed yet continuing to learn, sometimes I can't believe all I gain from you without ever feeling like I "was in a lesson." My horses are very relaxed and yet move beautifully when you are done. For two quarter horses who were always in the show ring moving more on their forehand then from behind they have really advanced. No matter what discipline you have applied with them they always respond. From basic dressage work, to western pleasure, to Hunter, or just hacking in the ring or on a trail, you have done a great job with all of us! I truly appreciate the fact that I can get to the farm, ride both horses and get back to work with ease.
Who would have ever thought years ago when you came to me to purchase rubber mats thatI would have enjoyed so much the relationship over the years we have built. The training, the lessons, the clinics, Equine Affaires'. How could anyone not be astonished that the woman who NEVER lets anyone take care of her horses' actually move them to your farm for the winter.
For the people that know me it really says allot about you! It has been a shock to my Vet., Farrier, Dentist, my family and firends. My horses never go anywhere without me, but pull the trailer out and they step right up for the "Road Trip" to Kelli's.
Not only are you a great instructor/trainer but have become a great friend who has shown me another perspective about my riding and my horses.
