| Since 1976, Kelli Ann has been an active equestrian competitor. In 1984, a 3 year old, imported, warm blood, Special Bid, was purchased specifically for Kelli to train and show. In 1985, they won their first USDF horse of the Year Championship, with a median score of 72. After numerous championships, Kelli and Special Bid completed their successful career at Intermediare II and Grand Prix. While Kelli continues to bring horses up through all levels of dressage, Special Bid now teaches Kellis students to ride Grand Prix movements. Kelli has been successfully showing at all levels since 1986.
Reining was declared an FEI Olympic sport in 2000. Consistent with her goal to compete as a member of the United States Equestrian Team, Kelli diversified her riding and began training and competing in the reining discipline.
