This is the newest equestrian event to be approved as an Olympic Event. The first Olympic competition for Reining will occur in 2004. Reining is an event designed to test the athletic ability of a ranch horse in the confines of a show ring. Credit is given for smoothness, finesse, attitude, quickness and authority

The same techniques used in Dressage of balance, heart, strength, athletic ability and communication with the horse are the same keys to success for Reining. This is a competitive advantage for Kelli Ann Kinney.

Reining is the fastest growing equine sports in the world.
